A weekly status report goes to forty people, takes a day to compile from six teams, and a survey shows two people read it. The report is considered mandatory. Nobody can say who mandated it or where the requirement is written down.

Why stuck: Every improvement I consider keeps the report as it is, because it is mandatory.

Tried: Shortened the report; added a summary at the top; moved it to a wiki page; automated two of the six sections.

Everyone starts from: Cut the report to one page and send it fortnightly instead of weekly.
